Meet the Team

J.M. LOGAN - Writer / Director / Producer

All Josh ever wanted to do is make movies with his friends.

But, growing up in Austin, Texas in the 1980’s didn’t provide a vast spectrum of  opportunity. He didn’t know a camera guy, so he learned to shoot.  He didn’t know an editor, so he learned to cut. He did sound, learned about lights, built sets and props, wrote, directed, produced — with almost no distinction between jobs because he loved it all, and that’s what filmmaking became for him: doing everything.

His love for monsters led him first to a career as a special makeup effects artist, he moved to Hollywood and then traveled the world. He contributed to films like The Dentist, Apocalypto, Wishmaster 2, Halloweentown and The Passion of the Christ, and many famous horror franchises that reached their 4th sequel.

Transitioning beyond effects, he moved into post production first in VFX, then into sound design and music, eventually supervising post-production for studios such as New Line, Netflix and Searchlight. Selected films include The Way Way Back, Stoker, and Annabelle and he earned producing credits on Kidnap, Cut Bank, and the documentary The Disunited States of America.

Now with writing and directing as his primary focus, he made the comedy featurette The Garage Sale, and went on to direct the acclaimed shorts Lunch Ladies and The Relic, which have earned more than 200 festival selections.

JOE H. LEE - Producer

Joe Lee is a veteran of production logistics who specializes in bridging the gap between ambitious creative vision and fiscal reality. With a career forged in the trenches of the production office, locations, and accounting, he maintains a 30,000-foot view of how a film moves from a spreadsheet to the screen.

His "previous life" as an IT professional and a photographer gives him a unique dual-lens: he is as comfortable troubleshooting a technical workflow as he is protecting a visual aesthetic. This hybrid background allows Joe to find creative solutions that maximize every dollar on screen without compromising the director's intent.

Joe recently produced and line-produced the independent features The Relic: Dragon and Tiny, Texas, following tenures on high-stakes sets including Alita: Battle Angel, Fear the Walking Dead, and Spy Kids: Armageddon.

On a Joe Lee set, the priorities are clear: fiscal discipline, a strict "safety first" mandate, and a "no a-holes" policy to ensure a focused, professional environment. He is a firm believer that the best films are built on a foundation of disciplined preparation and, yes, a borderline-obsessive relationship with a well-organized spreadsheet.
